Dumfries and Galloway Carers Support
The Carers Support Project in Dumfries and Galloway offers all relatives, carers and supporters of people with mental health difficulties a wide variety of opportunities to access support, information, practical help and advice.
The Carers Support Worker will provide:
Confidential one-to-one support
Reliable and relevant information
Support in accessing other services
This resource, led by carers themselves, offers carers:
A chance to meet fellow carers in group settings
Opportunities, which will enable carers to become actively involved in educational, social and recreational activities.
Opportunities for groups to meet with key individuals and professionals within health and social care.
Encouragement and support in sharing their views and wishes; contributing to the care planning of the cared for person and through local and national consultations.
