Vocational Support Services
NSF (Scotland) Vocational Support Service in Dumfries and Galloway aims to support people to access training, education and voluntary or paid work. It consists of:

Vocational Support
This is a one-to-one service which offers people support to access opportunities in training, education, voluntary work and paid employment. Through discussion with one of our team of Vocational Support Workers, personal development plans are developed. These reflect the aspirations of the person using the service and forms the basis of the support provided. This can vary from help to become ready for work or training, through to support to maintain training or work placements. The personal development plans are regularly reviewed. Our team can also offer support/training to employers and placement providers in relation to the support needs of people with mental health problems.
This service is open to anyone who identifies that their experience of mental health difficulties had an impact on their vocational activity, and who would like this specialist support to assist that part of their recovery.
Appointments are generally within office hours 8.30am - 4.30pm but can be made at other times by arrangement.
